Student Unite Day at the UNICEF Headquarters in The Hague

Last week, from the 8th to the 9th of November, the student teams of UNICEF The Netherlands gathered at the UNICEF headquarters in The Hague to celebrate Student Unite Day, get to know each other, share plans and exchange ideas and knowledge.

The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) was established in 1946 in New York City. The organization is active in more than 190 countries with the aspiration to help every child in the world and ensure their rights. Hereby, UNICEF is based on the UN convention on the rights of children. The personnel at the headquarters helped answer many questions of our team regarding fundraising and managing public relations. During the special workshops, each board member had the opportunity to gain more insights on how to improve the team's performances.

Our team also had the opportunity to talk directly to the people in charge of the project in Jordan, along with many other opportunities and developments. They were pleased to talk about the amazing progress they have encountered, with an estimate of 22.000€ Euros in funds, gathered by all the UNICEF Student teams in The Netherlands.

We are thrilled to announce that a new project was introduced to the UNICEF team, which will be decided on the 17th of November. Therefore, we are very excited that our team will be taking over the project from January onwards.
