International Women's Day

FEMINISM: The full political, social and economic equality of men and women.

On the 8th of March 2020, we celebrate International Women's day along the theme: "An equal world is an enabled world" while also marking a call to action for accelerating gender equality. Let's put a stop to gender-based violence and calling for economic justice and rights for all bodily autonomy, sexual and reproductive health and rights and feminist action for climate justice. We want technology and innovation for gender equality and feminist leadership

Every one of us is responsible for our own thoughts and actions every single day. Join this day where we actively choose to challenge stereotypes, fight bias, broaden our perceptions and celebrate our achievements.

Every one of us can contribute to creating a gender-equal world. Let's all be #EachforEqual.

Celebrating women's achievements and increasing visibility, while calling out inequality, is key.

Today, IWD aims to...

*Champion women for forging tech innovation

*Appluade equality for women athletes

*Forge inclusive workspaces so women thrive

*Support women to earn on their own terms

*Empower women through health education

*Increase visibility for female artists.

The 2020 #EachforEqual campaign runs all year long, it doesn't end on International Women's Day. This theme provides a unified direction to guide and galvanize continuous collective action, with #EachforEqual activity reinforced and amplified all year. All of us share the responsibility for driving a gender-equal world no matter our gender or sexual orientation.

The first International Women's Day was organized in 1911, which was supported by over one million people. Today, International Women's Day belongs to everyone, everywhere. Gloria Steinem, world-renowned feminist, journalist and activist once explained: "The story of women's struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist nor to any one organisation but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights."

Gender Equality is a HUMAN FIGHT, not a FEMALE FIGHT. We are in this together. Small actions can have big impacts in making this vision a reality. On International Women’s Day, join #GenerationEquality and become part of the movement
